Good location close to port and beach. Helpful staff, especially English-speaking receptionist. Onsite restaurant. Owner met us at the dock.
Felt very relaxed, nothing to complain about.

We had a wonderful stay at this eco-hostel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel facilities were charming, with beautiful outside areas and comfortable rooms. We particularly enjoyed the hammocks and the decent wifi provided. The breakfast included was a nice touch, with fresh fruit delivered to our door each morning. The hotel also offered delicious rice dishes for dinner. The location was perfect, being very close to the free beach and away from the crowded playa Libre. The hotel staff even organized transportation for us, including taxis and boat rides. The hardworking family who run the hotel clearly put in a lot of effort to keep it clean and make improvements. All of this at a great price.
No issues.

Alvaro and his family were very friendly and attentive. the room was clean and had basic amenities like running water, a fan, and a mosquito net. the mattress was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep.
The communication before our trip was great, but it was lacking upon arrival. We felt a bit lost as we weren't speaking directly with our host.

The room was cozy and had a homely vibe, which made me instantly feel at ease. I loved the kitchenette with a stovetop, allowing me to cook my own meals and save some money. The private bathroom with a bath or shower was clean and refreshing. Additionally, some units had a terrace and/or balcony, providing a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the island's beauty.
Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of one feature - the bath or shower in the private bathroom. However, I recognize that others may still find enjoyment in it, as it's a matter of personal preference.

For the price we paid, the value was exceptional. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided a peaceful and secure feeling. The location was perfect, just minutes away from the beach and close to popular attractions like the enchanted lagoon. The staff, especially Álvaro and his family, were incredibly helpful and attentive. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, organizing transportation and even arranging a local guide for us to see the bioluminescent bay.
One small suggestion to improve the breakfast option would be to offer a wider variety of fruits and pastries.

The hosts at Eco-Hostal were incredibly helpful and arranged transportation for us to and from the island. They even organized day tours for us, which made exploring the area much easier. The food at the hostel was amazing and we really appreciated the hard work the family put into keeping the place clean. The price of the accommodation was also very reasonable. Despite some basic facilities, the overall experience was good and relaxing.
